United Way Distributes 2013 Grants

WORCESTER — The United Way of Central Massachusetts has awarded
Fuller Foundation Small Capital Grants to 16 agencies totaling nearly
$50,000.
Fuller capital grants fund capital improvements for the local
United Way's partner agencies. The are fund through the George F. and
Sybil H. Fuller Foundation. The Fuller Grants Committee selected
recipients based on the need for this assistance.
The following agencies were recipients of the grants: The Boys
Girls Club of Worcester ($2,500), Catholic Charities ($5,000), Central
Massachusetts Housing Alliance ($4,000), Children's Friend Inc.
($2,500), Community Legal Aid Inc. ($700), Family Health Center of
Worcester Inc. ($3,423), Friendly House Inc. ($4,700), Lutheran Social
Services of New England Inc. ($2,500), Pernet Family Health Service Inc.
($2,500), Rainbow Child Development Center ($1,870), Seven Hills Family
Services ($2,000), South Middlesex Opportunity Council ($3,000), The
CASA Project Inc. ($1,100), Valley Residents for Improvement Inc.
($5,000), Worcester Roots Project ($4,200), and YWCA of Central
Massachusetts ($5,000).
In total, United Way of Central Massachusetts has invested
nearly $5.4 million in the community this year through the grants and
dozens of other programs.
